Investors include the world’s richest man, Bernard Arnault, former Google boss Eric Schmidt, French businessman Xavier Niel, Israeli physicist and entrepreneur Yuri Milner, Accel, BpiFrance, Elaia Partners, Creandum, Eurazeo, FirstMark Capital, Visionaries Club, Amazon, Samsung and UiPath.
H says it is developing Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) which is non-specific AI capable of performing more than one task. It has expertise in multi-agent AI where programmes learn from their environment.
CEO is Charles Kantor who was a researcher at Stanford. The other four co-founders, all from DeepMind, are Karl Tuyls, Laurent Sifre, Daan Wierstra and Julien Perolat. The company says it has recruited 25 scientists and engineers.
