Nashua, NH-based steel distributor Triple-S Steel Holdings Inc. (Triple-S) acquired Borrmann Metals.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Burbank, CA-based Borrmann Metals is a West Coast distributor of steeling materials, including tube and pipe, plate, merchant bar and nonferrous products. The company was acquired by Contractors Steel in
2020.
“Their locations and product mix are highly complementary with our Instel Steel West and Maas-Hansen businesses, and we are eager to help Borrmann’s colleagues rebuild the company back inside the structure of a family business,” Triple-S CEO Gary Stein said in a Sept. 17 news release. “We will put the needed investment in equipment, inventory and technology into the operations to take advantage of these opportunities we see the in the West.”
Triple-S employs around 2,500 people and operates more than 60 stocking locations across North America and Colombia.
