Nominally running from 72V rails, they are rated at 150W (RDF150 series) or 200W (RDF200 series) and designed for use in railway, renewable energy and industrial applications.
“The voltages available in railway applications vary globally, often requiring different power designs to suit each geography,” according to the company. “However, the 12:1 input range eliminates this challenge, allowing designs to be deployed globally without revision to the power stages. All RDF modules meet the requirements of the EN50155 transportation standard.”

All have single outputs, with a choice of 12V, 15V, 24V or 48V. The RDF150 series also offers a 5V version.
Outputs can be trimmed across -20% to +15% and, to compensate for long output wires, remote sensing is included.
If outputs have to be sustained through brown-outs, a pin is provided to add external storage capacitors (via a diode and a resistor).
Efficiency is up to 91% in certain models, and consumption drops to 15mA when the remote on-off feature is used to shut-down a unit. Operation is over -40 to +100°C
Alongside EN50155 approval, the devices meet EN50121-3-2 and EN61000-4-x for EMC, and UL62368-1 for ITE use.
Input to output isolation is reinforced to 3kVac, and protections include: over-voltage, under-voltage lock-out, over-load and short-circuit.
Warranty is three-years.
