Canada-based building materials distributor Doman Building Materials (Doman) acquired CM Tucker Lumber Companies (Tucker Lumber).
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Pageland, SC-based Tucker Lumber is a supplier of lumber and treated wood, producing products that include plywood, decking materials, fencing items and more. The Pageland facility features a sawmill, dry kilns, treating plants, remanufacturing operation and distribution centers. To reach eastern U.S. markets, the company also operates treating plants in Henderson, NC and Rock Hill, SC.
“The transaction is a great complement to our existing U.S. operations while further advancing our growth strategy, developing a leadership position and expanding our footprint into ten previously unserved States,” Doman Chairman and CEO Amar Doman said in an Oct. 1 news release.
Doman said that the acquisition enhances its operations and supports its expansion into the eastern United States. The company will now operate in South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, New York and Pennsylvania.
