Building materials distributor US LBM acquired Texas Tool Traders.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Texas Tool Traders is a supplier of construction fasteners, tools and supplies for contractors, builders and remodelers throughout Texas. Founded in 1973, the company operates 14 locations within Texas, supporting customers in Austin, Dallas Fort-Worth, San Antonio and Houston areas.

“The addition of Texas Tool Traders expands our comprehensive product and service portfolio in Texas, enhancing the value we bring to builders in Texas’ major metro markets, which continue to have high levels of new construction,” US LBM President and CEO L.T. Gibson said in an Oct. 8 news release.

US LBM operates in Texas under several brand names, including Texas Building Supply and now Texas Tool Traders.

US LBM’s most previous recent acquisitions were of Milton Truss (Florida), completed Oct. 1 and Nix Door and Hardware (Fort Worth, TX), completed Sept. 6.

US LBM is No. 6 on MDM’s Top Distributor’s List for Building Materials/Construction.

The company shared Oct. 7 that its nonprofit organization, the US LBM Foundation, has committed $500,000 to Hurricane Helene relief efforts.
