“Improved infrared LEDs and optimised photodiode arrays in these models enable switch-on times to be reduced to 150µs while maintaining signal quality,” according to distributor Rutronik, which is stocking the parts. “In addition, the S-VSON4T package saves space on the circuit board.” – it measures 1.45 x 2 x 1.3mm.
For 32V operation, TLP3414S can handle 40V and 250mA, and has a maximum switch-on resistance of 3Ω. Typical on-time is 30μs (150μs max) and typical off-time is 45μs (100μs max)
For 16V operation, TLP3431S can handle 20V and 450mA, and has a maximum switch-on resistance of 1.2Ω. Typical on-time is 25μs (150μs max) and typical off-time is 45μs (100μs max)
Typical output capacitance of either is 6.5pF and isolation from input to output is 500Vrms.
Recommended operation is with between 5 and 20mA though the LED.
Operation is over -40 to +110°C, with derating on input and output current starting at 25°C.
