Rutronik Schurter FPAC RAIL three phase filter web

“The housing, with a width of just 44mm, requires extremely little space on the mounting rail,” said distributor Rutronik. “The single-stage filter is available as a standard version or with high attenuation. FPAC RAIL impresses above all with its leakage current of just 1.3mA.”

Construction is on a PCB inside a largely plastic housing with screw terminals for input and output phases, and a metal clip to the rear for grounding to the DIN rail.

There are units rated at 3, 6, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25 or 32A, and each of those comes in the standard version or the high-performance version. All are rated for 520V operation and, although power loss increases with current rating, all share the same 1.31mA leakage.

“In the standard version with ferrite cores, the filters score with attenuation of up to 85dB,” said Rutronik. “With the optional HP version, using nanocrystalline cores, attenuation performance in the range 10 – 300kHz can be increased by up to a further 8dB.”

Schurter three phase mains filter cctTemperature can range from -40 °C to +100°C, they are ENEC and cURus certified, and suitable for applications in accordance with IEC 62368-1. The design is in accordance with IEC and UL standards.

The units are 159 tall and stand 101mm from the rail.

Use is foreseen with switching power supplies and converters.
