Fortec acquires Nottrot

Nottrot makes monitors for maritime, military and industrial use.

“With this step, Fortec is reinforcing its strategic market position in Central Europe, enabling its entry into the maritime market in the data visualisation sector and simultaneously expanding the technological basis and vertical added value in future-relevant applications,” continued Foretec.

Founded in 2000, Nottrot is headquartered in Oosterhout and currently employs around 8 people.

In the 2024 it turned-over ~€3.2m and had operating earnings of ~€800,000 (EBIT).

“With Nottrot, the Fortec Group is gaining an established company with technical competence and a strong market position in special segments, which we will continue to develop. The acquisition reinforces our position as a provider of data visualisation solutions for the maritime sector but also in the defence market,” said Fortec CEO Sandra Maile, who clarified: “Today’s signing of the purchase contract is the result of a co-operative process between the management of both companies as part of succession planning.”

The purchase is being financed by existing cash and cash equivalents.

Foretec is also a supplier of single-board computers
