The agreement means that Astute will supply Densitron’s display, monitor and embedded computing to customers in the broadcast, medical, industrial and test and measurement sectors.
The manufacturer has experience in rugged HMI (human machine interface) technology which can be tailored to meet specific reliability and performance demands.
Astute Group will add Densitron’s portfolio of industrial TFT displays, responsive projected capacitive touch (PCT) screens, OLED displays, and single-board computers to its linecard. Densitron can provide customisation options for its display products including optical bonding for enhanced durability and sunlight readability.
Chris Withers, Astute’s EMEA product marketing manager, commented: “Our customers are constantly searching for robust and innovative HMI products, and Densitron’s tactile technology and display expertise provide exactly the kind of differentiation needed in today’s demanding application environments”. He added that innovations such as haptics, on-glass buttons are available to extend the traditional touchscreen interface options.
Astute has the technical knowledge and service to support the product range and customers through “every stage of the design and integration journey,” added Chris Goodhall, EMEA sales and operations director, Densitron.

Crystal Display Systems acquires Flatvision range of rugged displays
