“They support various cable cross-sections and offer suitable seals for every cable thickness to prevent the ingress of water or dust,” according to the component distributor. “They are capable of carrying currents from 5A to 18A, especially in combination with customer-specific cable assemblies.”
There are 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6way options, always in a line with a 6mm pitch.
Male and femal parts are designed to couple with an audible click when correctly mated.
Voltage rating is 24V and current rating is dependent on wore size:
- 5A 22AWG, ~0.35mm2
- 8A 20AWG, ~0.5mm2
- 11A 18AWG, ~0.75mm2
- 18A 15AWG, ~1.5mm2
These are accommodated by three crimp insert sizes:
- 22 – 20AWG, ~0.35 – 0.5mm2
- 18 – 16AWG, ~0.75 – 1.5mm2
- 16 – 14AWG, ~1.5 – 2.5mm2
Two sizes of elastomer back seals accommodate two insulation diameter ranges: A green one with a hole that stretches across 1 to 1.6mm in diameter hole, and yellow with a 1.4 to 2.4mm hole.
Use is foreseen in railway, industrial and agricultural applications.
