The acquisition broadens AHP’s range of products and will help the industrial distributor better penetrate the power generation markets.
Louisville, KY-based hydraulics, pneumatics, automation and hosing distributor Air Hydro Power acquired the assets of industrial distribution Baker Bohnert.
Baker Bohnert has over 76 years of experience in the distribution sector and offers expansion joint manufacturing for the power industry.
“This [acquisition] broadens the range of products and services AHP has to offer, plus helps us better penetrate the power generation markets,” AHP Co-CEO Matt Ott said in a July 1 news release.
Air Hydro Power is a distributor serving Kentucky, Southern Indiana, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, West Virginia and southeastern Ohio, specializing in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical automation, hose and fittings, electrical motors and pumps.
In 2023, AHP was acquired by Houchens Industries and became an employee-owned company. With this acquisition Air Hydro Power welcomes 38 new employees. In the near future they will become employee owners in the Houchens ESOP.
