Tulsa, Oklahoma-based BlackHawk Industrial has acquired two companies that it says will accelerate growth in parts of Florida, Idaho and Montana.
BlackHawk on July 14 acquired Cornerstone Supply in Jacksonville, Florida, and two Intermountain Machining Supply locations in Meridian, Idaho, and Belgrade, Montana. Financial terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed.
“Technical expertise and documented cost-savings are two pillars of BlackHawk’s ongoing success, and these transactions provide an exemplary opportunity to accelerate our position in both,” said John Mark, president and CEO of BlackHawk. “We are particularly excited about our growing global footprint, including our new locations in Florida, Idaho, and Montana. These are key areas for us, and we are increasingly focused on servicing the unique needs of clients in every community where we operate.”
The acquisitions expand BlackHawk’s capabilities across the U.S., the company said. The expansion into Idaho and Montana specifically is expected to broaden BlackHawk’s machining related solutions to “a wide variety of businesses across many industries,” the company said.
Intermountain owner Greg Goetz will join BlackHawk as the new sales manager in the region. Goetz also retains a team of 16 associates.
The Cornerstone acquisition is BlackHawk’s second in the Jacksonville area and its third in Florida in just over a year. Cornerstone co-owner George Ray said he was leaving his 15 employees “in very capable hands.” He said his daughter Faith will stay on as operations manager for BlackHawk.
In June 2021, BlackHawk acquired Southern Tool & Machine Co., an industrial distributor with locations in Pompano Beach and Largo, Florida. A month later, the company acquired Reliance Supply, a Jacksonville, Florida-based industrial fasteners distributor.
