Bosch Rexroth

Hydraulics manufacturer Bosch Rexroth announced Sept. 14 it will expand its presence in North America with a new plant in Queretaro, Mexico. The Germany-based engineering firm will invest about 160 million euros into the new 42,000-square-meter site, according to a news release.

Bosch has been present in North America since 1967 and has been operating in Mexico for the past 40 years. It currently employs about 2,200 in North America, including 170 in Mexico. Bosch expects to open its new location in mid-2023 and have over 900 employees in Queretaro by 2027. The Queretaro plant will focus on products in the areas of mobile application and factory automation for export to the U.S. and Canada, the release said.

“We see great potential in the North American market for mobile applications such as agricultural or construction machinery and we produce the corresponding components, such as hydraulic pumps,” Bosch Rexroth North America CEO Greg Gumbs said. “The new plant in Queretaro will create additional production capacities.”

Bosch Rexroth manufactures products including hydraulics, electrical drive and control technology, gear technology and linear motion and assembly technology. Bosch has over 31,000 employees across locations in 80 countries.
