Material handling systems integration manufacturer Cisco-Eagle acquired Birmingham, AL-based controls engineering company Trinity Controls.

The acquisition expands Cisco-Eagle’s ability to serve industrial automation customers of all types and stay ahead of the rapidly changing automation landscape, said Cisco-Eagle President and Chief Operating Officer Bryan Gauger in a Jan. 16 news release.

Established in 2005, Trinity specializes in programmable logic controls (PLC) engineering. It focuses on design, programming and PLC panel fabrication for automation projects in the manufacturing and distribution sectors. Trinity is experienced in conveyor systems, material handling, heavy machinery and motor control applications.

This acquisition transfers Trinity Controls operations to Cisco-Eagle, forming the Cisco-Eagle Systems Technology Group.

Trinity Founder Tim Norwood will continue his leadership as Cisco-Eagle’s Director of Systems Technologies, and the company’s staff will join the Cisco-Eagle employee-owners.
