Crescent Electric Endorses NEMRA POS Standards

On May 19, the National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association announced that Illinois-based Crescent Electric has endorsed NEMRA’s POS/POT Minimum Reporting Standards.

Debra McCashin, National Vice President of Supplier Partnerships for NEMRA, said Crescent has been providing POS information to many of its manufacturers.

“We recognize the importance of POS data for our rep community,” McCashin said. “It is critical to our success as we stand up DC’s across the country.”

Crescent currently has three distribution centers supporting its branch network. The company ranked No. 11 among electrical, data & security distributors on MDM’s list of 2022 Top Distributors.

In 2014, members of the NEMRA and NMG (NEMRA Manufacturers Group) commissioned a study to understand the state of POS. The initiative was an effort to identify how the POS process “could be improved to ensure reps were accurately compensated,” the group said. Read more about the initiative here.
