WES Annual Conference 2024 celebrates Enhanced By Engineering

This year’s conference is heading to Birmingham. Running 17-18 April (Wednesday & Thursday) it will be located in the city’s Eastside Rooms (B7 4BL).

This year the event and exhibition, which aims to showcase exceptional engineering stories, takes the theme of “Enhanced By Engineering” – #EnhancedByEngineering

“From pioneering developments in transportation to innovations in healthcare and technology, women engineers in the United Kingdom have significantly enhanced people’s lives and we celebrate those achievements at our 2 day events,” write the organisers.

Speakers at the conference will include:

  • Claire Gott MBE CEng FICE, UK Head of Industry and Deputy Head of Structures, WSP
  • Titilola Oliyide Senior Process Safety Engineer at Supercritical Solutions and the IET Young Woman Engineer of the Year winner
  • Mark McBride-Wright from Equal Engineers
  • Rosa Wells from the Engineering Council’s Education & Skills Advisory Panel
  • Louise Hardy, Non Executive Director at Balfour Beatty Plc, Crest Nicholson Plc, Travis Perkins Plc and Severfield Plc

The society will also be joined by STEMReturners and there will be sessions on Allyship and networking. They will also be joined by event sponsors including CNH Industrial, Ingersoll Rand, Amazon, and Leonardo.

Ticket prices, for both days, start from £149 for members of the society, For non-members, both days cost £175.
