Noelle J. Oas will oversee benefits, insurance, payroll, diversity and compliance, and the Fastenal School of Business.

It was another quarter of double-digit sales and profit gains for the industrial supplies distributor, which saw softening demand and tougher year-over-year comparables.

On March 8, Winona, Minnesota-based Fastenal Company said it has appointed Noelle J. Oas as Executive Vice President of Human Resources.

Oas is expected to oversee multiple teams related to HR, including benefits, insurance, payroll, diversity & compliance and the Fastenal School of Business, the company said.

Noelle Oas

She previously worked as Fastenal’s Director of Compliance. Prior to joining Fastenal, she worked in employment law litigation, the company said. Oas is in her eighth year working at Fastenal.

Fastenal said Oas succeeds Reyne K. Wisecup, who recently retired after 34 years with the company. Reyne was elected to Fastenal’s board of directors in 2000, and she will continue to serve as a board member.

“First off, I want to thank Reyne Wisecup for her stewardship of Fastenal’s people-centered culture through many years of change and growth; and, personally, I would like to thank Reyne for years of providing me with great advice,” said Dan Florness, Fastenal’s President and CEO. “I also want to congratulate Noelle Oas on her new role. With her legal acumen and commitment to employee empowerment, the Fastenal ‘Blue Team’ will continue to benefit from strong human resources leadership.”

On MDM’s 2022 list of Top Distributors, Fastenal ranked No. 4 among Industrial Distributors.
