CNC components maker Genesys gains a manufacturer of threaded and flanged aluminum pipe fittings and hardware.
Genesys Industries — a manufacturer of precision machined components for industry — announced March 8 that it has acquired Latrobe Foundry Machine & Supply.
Unity Township, PA-based Latrobe was founded in 1933 and is a manufacturer of high-quality threaded and flanged aluminum pipe fittings and hardware. Selling into markets of aerospace, agricultural, chemical, construction, marine and more, Latrobe’s products are carried by major distributors that include McMaster-Carr, MSC Industrial Supply, Ferguson, ARG Industrial and other regional suppliers.
The acquisition includes Latrobe’s main facility in Latrobe and nearby facility in Whitney, PA, along with its Wasco, WA location that it opened in 2019.
“Latrobe Foundry and Genesys share common markets, hardware product lines, manufacturing expertise and values,” said Ted Steiner, Latrobe Foundry President said in a news release. “Working together, we will be able to offer a broader range of products and enhanced service levels for our customers. We welcome all of Latrobe Foundry customers to Genesys Industries.”
Genesys, meanwhile, is based in Palmetto, FL, with additional locations in Rockford, IL and Southwest City, MO. Its core focus is the precision manufacturing of threaded and non-threaded screw machined and fastener components.
“We are excited about the acquisition of Latrobe Foundry,” Genesys said in a statement. “This addition expands our already increasing footprint in the manufacturing of mechanical hardware components for industry. It fits well with our expanding parts catalog of over 124,000 unique SKUs. With this acquisition, we add an additional 13,000-square-foot facility in Pennsylvania.”
