East Arlington, Texas-based adhesives and sealants distributor GracoRoberts has acquired Pacific Coast Composites (PCC), the company announced May 18. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2001, PCC is a stocking distributor of advanced composite and metal bond materials based in Puyallup, Washington. PCC specializes in quick response times, smaller quantities, material kitting and slitting, and low lead times for its products, which include film adhesives, foaming adhesives and pre-primed aluminum. The company is an authorized distributor for 3M and Hexcel.

The acquisition of PCC bolsters GracoRoberts’ presence in the aerospace composites market, according to a news release.

“PCC has uniquely solved for long-lead times and excessive waste in the complex composites material space, and GracoRoberts has adopted an online first strategy to take those products to market,” GracoRoberts President and CEO Jason Caldwell said in the release. “Together, we are significantly enhancing the overall customer experience by making it easier and faster to purchase the specific materials they need, with the quality they expect.”

“We’ve developed a business centered on providing our customers with smaller, customized composites material sizes in a near 24-hour turnaround time,” PCC President Kevin Fochtman said in the release. “Culturally, we believe in giving our customers what they want, in the quantity they want, and most importantly, when they want it. We pride ourselves in solving problems, offering exceptional service, and adding real value that the customer can measure. Our focus on the customer is in absolute alignment with GracoRoberts, which makes our partnership such a natural fit.”

GracoRoberts’ acquisition of PCC was supported by New York-based private equity firm CM Equity Partners, according to the release. CM Equity, which provides capital to businesses in the federal services and aerospace and defense industries, has previously assisted GracoRoberts with strategic acquisitions including E.V. Roberts and Aerospace Adhesives.

GracoRoberts was listed among MDM’s Top Specialty Adhesives Distributors in 2022.
