Called PSC, “the series has five models ranging from 75 to 480W. All models have a universal input voltage range of 85 to 264Vac and output voltages of 12, 24 and 48Vdc, and are backed by a three-year warranty,” according to distributor Omni Pro Electronics, which is stocking the parts.
Output voltage accuracy is ±1% said Omni Pro, and the supplies can support 150% peak load for 3s. For addition current, 1+1 to N+1 operation is also supported.
Efficiency can be as high as 94%, power factor is actively controlled to above 0.95.
Protections include current limiting, output over-voltage, output over-load, output short-circuit and open-circuit.
‘DC power’ and ‘self-test’ LEDs provide visual status indication, and there is a ‘DC OK’ relay contact.
Operation is nominally over -25 to +70°C, with derating caveats at higher temperatures – see the data sheet – for example the 75W PSC-75 versions can deliver full power up to 60°C. This last number is in the normal DIN rail orientation and, unusually, Altech provides graphs for operation in other orientations that also include a second curve (A2 in PSC-75 example left) if half the expected lifespan can be tolerated (rated 25°C full-load MIL-HDBK-217F MTBF >300,000hr)
For added reliability, PCBs are conformally coated and all supplies get a full-load burn-in test.
They are UL508, UL60950-1 and EN62368-1 certified and operate to EMC standards EN55032 Class B, EN61000-3-2, Class A and EN61000-4-2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 11.
