The six-sided IP66 sealed enclosure seals the monitor to offer “complete protection” from water jets, dust and debris, said the company.
Housed in a stainless steel chassis, they are hygienic – the non-porous stainless steel prevents bacterial growth and withstands regular sanitation processes, CDS added. The industrial LCD screen has an LED backlight for brightness, contrast and colour accuracy. They are readable in sunlight with brightness options up to 2500cd/m².
The anti-shock and anti-vibration design is suitable for heavy-duty environments, including transportation hubs. Capacitive and resistive touchscreen options are available and EMC anti-interference protection reduces signal disruption in electromagnetically noisy environments. In addition to fully enclosed, standalone models, the monitors are available with wall, arm or panel mounting options for integration into existing equipment.
The industrial displays are also able to operate in extreme conditions, such as high pressure washdowns, industrial dust, moisture and extreme temperatures. They can be used in food processing plants and automated production systems as well as in marine and outdoor kiosks.
CDS offers customisation option with screen sizes from 7.0inch – 49.0inch and additional custom sizes available on request. Touch technologies can also be specified for gloved operation, stylus input and with antimicrobial coatings for medical applications.
