Pennslyvania-based industrial and fluid power distributor Motion & Control Enterprises marks its 12th acquisition since 2023.
Zelienople, PA-based industrial and fluid power distributor Motion & Control Enterprises (MCE) marks its fourth acquisition of fiscal year 2024, and its 12th since 2023, with the addition of industrial distributor Ives Equipment Corp.
Founded in 1954 and based in King of Prussia, PA, Ives is a distributor of process valves and instrumentation solutions throughout eastern and central Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, southern New Jersey, Washington D.C. and Virginia. Ives serves diverse end markets including industrial gas, federal and defense, engineering and construction, food manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals and biotech.
“For 70 years, Ives has represented leading flow control suppliers and has successfully served OEM and end-user customers in the Mid-Atlantic region,” MCE Chairman and CEO Charles Hale said in a June 3 news release. “By combining our resources and expertise, this acquisition expands our growing flow control footprint and positions the combined business to provide an even more comprehensive suite of highly-engineered solutions to our valued customers.”
The company will continue to operate under the Ives Equipment name under the continued leadership of Terry Ives.
“As the industry evolves, joining MCE creates greater growth for our company, providing a better future for our principals, customers, and our loyal employees,” Ives said.
On MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors Lists, MCE ranks No. 50 among industrial distributors and No. 9 for fluid power. Last month, the company acquired Birmingham, AL-based General Machinery, a distributor of automation and electrical products, process pumps, compressed air products and related repair services.
