NEVO+600S is the name, and it measures ~41 x 78 x 134mm (plus blade terminals), giving it a 5 x 3inch footprint.
“Tailored for demanding industrial applications where size, power density and weight are paramount, despite its 600g frame and dimensions, it delivers 600W, translating to 25W/inch3,” according to distributor Relec Electronics, which is stocking the PSU.
Input can vary across 85-264Vac, with linear derating below 120V to 450W at 85V. Power factor is 0.99.
Adjustable output modules (above left) are available that deliver different voltage spans between 1.5 and 30V, some with dual outputs (see table). Hold-up is 20ms.
Part | Input | Nominal output | Power |
---|---|---|---|
NEVO+600S | 85-264Vac | 600W | |
OP1 | 5Vdc (1.5 – 7.5V) | 125W | |
OP2 | 12Vdc (4.5 – 15V) | 150W | |
OP3 | 24Vdc (9 – 30V) | 150W | |
OP4 | 48Vdc (18 – 58V) | 150W | |
OP5 | 2x 12Vdc (3.3 – 15V) | 2x 75W | |
OP8 | 2x 24Vdc (23.2 – 24.7V) | 2x 75W | |
OPA2* | 12Vdc (4.5 – 15V) | 300W | |
OPA3* | 24Vdc (9 – 30V) | 300W | |
*Only use with NEVO+600 chassis dated ‘2048’ onward |
For added versatility, some modules can be connected in parallel or series, and the chassis includes an isolated 5V 1A auxiliary output.
A automatically-controlled fan is built-in, and a quieter fan is an option. Two other options are series tracking and I2C.
Operation is between -20 and +70°C, with linear derating above +50°C to 300W at +70°C.
Efficiency peaks at 90% and no-load consumption is 21W with all outputs disabled, rising to 28W with them enabled.
Input-to-output isolation is 4kVac with 2 MOPP (means of patient protection, for medical use), while input-to-chassis is 1.5kVax 1 MOPP. Earth leakage is <1.5mA (264Vac, 63Hz, 25°C). Output-to-output, and global control signals to output or chassis, isolation is 250Vdc.
Approvals include EN/UL62368-1 2nd and 3rd edition.
