MSC Inks eCommerce Deal with MachiningCloud

New York-based MSC Industrial Supply has agreed to be the exclusive eCommerce distributor of metalworking and MRO products to customers of MachiningCloud, the industrial distributor announced April 12.

Under this exclusive eCommerce agreement, end users will be able to purchase tools through MachiningCloud’s digital software platform, which provides comprehensive data to help customers find optimal tool components for their production processes, according to a news release.

“Helping customers quickly find the right combination of tool components to create complete assemblies for their applications saves time and money, consistent with our approach to improving the productivity of manufacturers’ operations,” MSC Senior Director of Metalworking & Sales Innovation Jamie Goettler said in the release. “We are pleased to deliver greater efficiency to MachiningCloud’s customers by offering them access to our vast array of metalworking and MRO products.”

MSC — which ranked as the No. 5 Fastener Distributor, No. 6 MRO Industrial Distributor and No. 14 Industrial Distributor on MDM’s 2022 Top Distributors list — reported its fiscal 2Q 2023 results earlier this month, posting 11.9% year-over-year sales growth.
