Silicon Catalyst UK Angels is partnering with Silicon Catalyst and ChipStart UK to back UK semiconductor startups.

The Angels will evaluate, mentor, and invest in early-stage semiconductor companies, driving innovation and growth within the industry.

The inaugural pitch event, featuring four online ‘speed pitches’ from graduates of the ChipStart UK incubation programme, is scheduled for Monday, June 10th at 16:30 GMT.

The presenting companies include Finchetto, MintNeuro, Red Semiconductor, and Singular Photonics. This virtual showcase will highlight proposals from the first cohort of the ChipStart UK initiative.

Following this, an in-person event will take place on June 13th as part of London Tech Week. This event will celebrate the graduation of ChipStart UK Cohort 1 and announce the companies selected for Cohort 2, marking a significant milestone for the participating start-ups.

Additionally, on June 20th, the first online pitch from a non-ChipStart company will be presented by Hadyn Povey, CEO of SCI Semiconductor. Hadyn is a cybersecurity expert who previously successfully exited his company Secure Thingz to IAR Systems.

Neil Dickins, founder of IC Resources and chairman of UKESF, is spearheading the angel group’s initial activities: ‘All of the first five companies presenting to the angel group are poised for rapid growth, as they have demonstrated early customer success and leading-edge technology.”

Silicon Catalyst UK Angels aims to become a vital force in the UK’s semiconductor ecosystem, providing essential support and investment to drive technological advancements and economic growth.
