It says TXMission’s portfolio – communications waveforms and hardware products – will complement its own product lines. Specifically, the Quest and Connect software-defined radios built for the satellite and ground station markets.
TXMission, which is based in Watford, will become CesiumAstro’s first office in the United Kingdom. This will improve the latter’s ability to address European customers, it believes, “while gaining access to high-skill talent and manufacturing capability in the region”.
The founder and CEO of CesiumAstro, Shey Sabripour, said:
“TXMission’s modem capabilities are unrivaled, and together we can build a stronger end-to-end communications solution for our customers. Acquiring TXMission provides a foundation for establishing an office in the United Kingdom, where we are investing to grow our presence.”
Financial terms of the transaction have not been revealed.
“This is a mutually beneficial opportunity allowing us to grow our team, expand our capabilities, and continue building high-performance communications systems for our customers,” said TXMission’s CEO and Vice President of Engineering, Gianni Nannetti.

CubeSat-compatible, the software defined radio supports the DVB-S2 and DVB-S2X waveforms, and CCSDS telemetry standard is also supported, both for DVB-S2/S2X and Viterbi/Reed-Solomon waveforms. You can read more about their products here.
