The Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association has announced a lineup of workshop speakers for its Annual Convention & Trade Show, scheduled for Oct. 30 in San Diego.

STAFDA is offering four 90-minute educational workshops during the 46th annual event.

The subjects and speakers include:

  • “Building High-Performance Remote & Hybrid Work Teams,” with David Burkus, an author and speaker who works with companies across all industries including Google, Stryker, Fidelity, Viacom, and the U.S. Naval Academy.
  • “The Bold Gold Standard,” with Dr. Kevin Elko, a sports psychologist and consultant who has worked with NFL teams such as the Green Bay Packers, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys.
  • “What is Your Pandemic Pivot?” with Ken Rutkowski, a business radio talk show host who has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, BBC, Wired and Business Week.
  • “Ditch the Pitch: Influence Through Improvisation,” with Steve Yastrow, the former vice president of resort marketing for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts.

Attendees may participate in a 90-minute targeted workshop featuring STAFDA’s endorsed Online Marketing Consultant Bob DeStefano, who will speak about online marketing in a post-pandemic world.

On Nov. 1, STAFDA Economic Advisor Alan Beaulieu will give attendees an economic update and discuss “the influence of the past year regarding inflation, recession rumors, the effects of the war in Ukraine, the now-endemic pandemic, and what the future holds for the economy,” STAFDA said.
