BlackRock the investment fund which manages assets worth $12.5 trillion, plans to announce a $700 million investment in UK datacentres.
The investment will be made through a jv with Digital Gravity Partners the private equity company which specialises in investing in internet infrastructure including datacentres, fibre-optic cables, and wireless networks.
Larry Fink, the CEO of BlackRock, will be one of the business leaders accompanying President Trump.
Other business leaders on the trip include Jensen Huang of Nvidia and Sam Altman of OpenAI who are also expected to announce a datacentre investment in the UK as part of their $500 billion Stargate project.
Coreweave, the US provider of cloud-based AI training services which has a market cap of $55 billion, is expected to announce an investment.
Steve Schwarzman, CEO of Blackstone which manages assets worth $1.2 trillion, will also be part of the delegation.
The business leaders will all be attending a state dinner at Windsor Castle on Wednesday night. It is said that Tim Cook of Apple may also go to the dinner.
