The US has put export restrictions on the sale of high-end GPUs and AI accelerators to China.
It is estimated that it could reduce Nvidia’s Q3 sales by $400 million, hitting its A100 and H100 ICs.
AMD is also affected with its premium GPUs and MI250 AI accelerator IC on the restricted list
Both companies’ shares fell on the news.
“The US side should immediately stop its wrongdoing, treat companies from all over the world including Chinese companies fairly, and do more things that are conducive to the stability of the world economy,” said the China government
