MRO and industrial supplies distributor Vallen Distribution has expanded abroad with the acquisition of Eastland Engineering Supply (EES) from MML Growth Capital Partners Ireland. Vallen said the move aims to broaden the company’s global reach and enhance its supply chain capabilities across various industries. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Dublin-based EES, with over 30 years in the industry, has evolved from sourcing engineering spare parts to becoming Ireland’s largest provider of MRO program supply chain and operations service. EES operates in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

“My team and I are excited with this announcement because we can clearly see that the EES DNA aligned with Vallen in every way,” EES Chief Executive Robert Keatinge said in a July 11 news release. “We feel that this acquisition will allow us to continue to deliver a world-class service to our customers through a highly respected global company.”

EES has a U.S. office in Lincolnshire, IL.

“EES is an outstanding supply chain service provider, and we are excited about the opportunity ahead for our combined company, Vallen CEO Chuck Delph echoed. “The transaction further expands our operations in Europe and enables us to continue delivering premier solutions and innovations for our customers’ indirect spend and opens new opportunities for growth across several industries.”

The combined company will leverage its expanded operations to invest in innovative solutions, aiming to drive success for customers and suppliers worldwide. A portfolio company of Nautic Partners, Vallen Distribution ranks No. 17 on MDM’s Industrial Supplies Top Distributors List, and No. 7 for MRO.
