On June 30, industrial blade manufacturer Valley Grinding & Manufacturing announced the acquisition of Quality Edge, a  knife manufacturer with specialization in the food industry. Valley said the acquisition will provide the company with 30% revenue growth, and will allow it to expand its reach as a knife supplier in the U.S., with specific focus on Wisconsin.

“We’re growing, evolving and applying new technologies to a traditional business which helps us in the acquisition space. Having multiple locations in the U.S. gives us better footing for acquisitions and allows us to serve our markets at a high level,” Valley president TJ Utschig said.

Future plans for Valley Grinding & Manufacturing include additional acquisitions in its aim to double in size. The financial details of this acquisition were not disclosed.
