The additive manufacturing unit of Würth Industry North America (WINA) — Würth Additive Group — launched its new inventory management product, Digital Inventory Services (DIS), at the Additive Manufacturer User Group (AMUG) Conference, held March 10-14 in Chicago.
Würth Additive Group unveiled its first global, public-facing print on the newly developed Digital Inventory Services (DIS) Platform at the outset of the AMUG event.
In a March 19 news release, WINA detailed that the new service enables the secure transmission of intellectual property to different locations worldwide, ensuring quality assurance checks and controlled distribution. OEM parts are now sent into the world securely and profitably, all within a matter of minutes.
Under the new tagline “Always in Stock,” WINA said the DIS announcement underscores Würth Group’s strategic move towards comprehensive digital inventory management systems that are designed to integrate seamlessly with Würth’s vendor-managed inventory programs, systems and software sold worldwide.
“The announcement of the Digital Inventory Services by Würth Additive Group represents a significant milestone, offering pilot program customers — those with substantial investments in additive technology — the chance to develop their full-scale digital inventory solutions,” the company noted. “These solutions are built from the ground up, leveraging Würth’s extensive expertise in vendor-managed inventory programs.”
Operating as the North American business unit of Germany-based Würth Group — the world’s largest fasteners distributor — WINA is a distributor of fasteners, MRO supplies and safety equipment based in Greenwood, IN.
WINA launched its Würth Additive Group in April 2021.
