PVF, HVAC, plumbing and industrial supplies distributor Winsupply expanded its U.S. southwest presence with the acquisition of Phoenix-based General Metals Manufacturing & Supply Co.

The company operates a manufacturing-fabrication facility and has an integrated wholesale distribution division. General metals has two Phoenix area locations and one in Tuscon.
“Winsupply deeply admires the company’s excellent 72-year reputation and impressive track record of growth,” said Jeff Dice, president of Winsupply. “Winsupply looks forward to investing in General Metals and expanding in the Phoenix market.”
A June 10 news release noted that General Metals President Richard Goettel will continue with the company in a consulting role and will transition leadership to Anthony Jackson, who will relocate from Prescott Winsupply after serving as President there for the past four years. Meanwhile, 21-year General Metals veteran Michael Goettel will continue with the company as Vice President of Fabrications.
“Under the current leadership of Richard and Michael Goettel, General Metals has established strong vendor partnerships, a dedicated workforce, and a loyal customer base, positioning the company for future growth in the Phoenix market,” said Greg Holbrock, who leads M&A, due diligence and financial integration at Winsupply. “This company will greatly contribute to the Winsupply HVAC expansion in the Phoenix area and surrounding markets.”
