HVACR, plumbing and industrial PVF distributor Winsupply, Inc. is considering building a new distribution facility following its agreement to purchase 38 acres of land in Ohio.

According to news reports, Miamisburg Development Director Chris Fine received a request for a “large distribution center and warehouse facility” at 490 Byers Road in Miamisburg during a Sept. 17 city council meeting.

“If approved, this project would represent a significant capital investment within the Miamisburg community,” Fine said in a news report. “Additionally, it would develop a large piece of property that has sat vacant and underutilized for many years.”

The 622,728-square-foot building would feature office, warehouse and distribution areas, loading dock spaces and outdoor storage for tractor trailers and bulk materials, said news reports.

“This investment once again solidifies Winsupply’s commitment to doing business in the Miami Valley,” Winsupply Real Estate Services and In-House Counsel Bill Tolliver told local media. “While we don’t have an immediate need, Winsupply is preparing for the growing needs of our entrepreneurs who make up Winsupply.”

On Oct. 21, Miamisburg Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on the possible creation of a development district to allow the project. Winsupply does not have a set timeline for construction but expects to build and occupy the building within five years, according to news reports.

“We need to ensure the city of Miamisburg favors our project before we close on the land purchase. This is why Winsupply needed to approach zoning now,” Tolliver added.

Winsupply was No. 2 on MDM’s Top Distributor’s List for Plumbing, No. 3 for HVACR, No. 6 for Industrial PVF and No. 5 for Industrial Supplies.
