Wolter enhances its crane and hoist solutions with the acquisition of CC&H, marking its first purchase of a manufacturer.

Wolter, a distributor of material handling equipment based in Brookfield, WI, has acquired its first manufacturing company, Cincinnati Crane & Hoist, based in Cincinnati, OH. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

CC&H is known for its custom solutions and project capabilities, including overhead cranes, gantry cranes, monorail systems, hoists, custom cranes and tailored turnkey solutions.

“We’re excited to welcome Cincinnati Crane & Hoist to Wolter,” said Jerry Weidmann, President of Wolter in a July 19 news brief. “The acquisition allows us to leverage our strengths and expand our offerings of crane and hoist solutions. CC&H’s innovation and expertise in custom crane systems perfectly align with our commitment to accelerating productivity. Together, we aim to set new industry standards, ensuring our customers receive unparalleled support — from initial design and installation to commissioning and ongoing service and maintenance.”

The acquisition expands Wolter’s product offerings in the crane industry.
