Wurth

Würth Group — the world’s largest distributor of fasteners and other industrial supplies — has a new leader for its Canada division.

The Germany-based company shared May 10 that Yana Popa is now CEO of Wurth Canada. An 11-year company veteran, Popa joined Würth Canada in 2013 as Financial Controller, a position she held through the end of 2020. Since then, she served as Vice President of Finance and IT, along with responsibility for supply chain and several large projects.

Prior to Würth Canada, Popa was a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young from 2007 to 2013. Her career began in architecture at Global Contract Furniture Corp. before she transitioned to organizational leadership.

Based in Guelph, Ontario, Würth Canada is branded as a distributor in the automotive, trucking, industrial supply/MRO and construction marketplaces.

As a whole, Würth Group posted a new high watermark for annual revenue in 2023 at $22.2 billion — up 2.3% vs. 2022. The company has approximately 87,000 employees worldwide across 80 countries of operation.
