“With the release of the re-imagined Z-Wave Certified Product Guide, we’re delivering so much more than a catalog, we’re giving the industry a roadmap to Z-Wave interoperability,” said Bettina Roll, Certification Program Manager for the Z-Wave Alliance.
“Whether you’re researching, designing, integrating, or buying, the revamped guide makes it easy to not only find the right product, but verify that it meets Z-Wave rigorous certification standards.”
Ecosystem database
As mentioned, the improved Certified Product Guide is a searchable database of Z-Wave products from hundreds of manufacturers. It covers 4,500 devices.
Categories for filtering, for example, include lighting, locks, sensors, controllers and gateways. Users can also identify products by brand, type, protocol version, frequency region, or command classes and firmware details.
Note that it also includes Z-Wave Long Range (ZWLR) devices, which increase the wireless range fourfold, with 10x node scalability.
All products featured within the guide, highlights the alliance, have undergone independent Z-Wave certification. This is a mandatory process for Z-Wave devices, for the purposes of interoperability, security, and performance.

The alliance is a standards development organisation aiming to increase the take-up of smart home and Z-Wave technology.
